The University of Alabama National Alumni Association announces the 2025 class of the 18 Under 31 Young Alumni Awards. These awards honor exceptional young alumni who have made notable contributions to their industry or community. This year’s recipients were recognized on Friday, Jan.31 at the 18 Under 31 Young Alumni Awards ceremony, sponsored by The University of Alabama Online and supporting sponsor, Dr. Allen Yeilding of Hematology and Oncology Associates of Alabama.
The 2025 honorees are Dr. Steven Beall BS ’16, physician in the U.S. Navy; Mike Bernier BS ’19, director of mergers and integrations in the financial services industry at Balefire Wealth; Megan Birkes BS ’17, BS ’17, vice president of operations and development for the Yummy Restaurant Group; William Bomar BSW ’17, MSW ’23, licensed master social worker practicing mental health therapy at both the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center and Clarity Counseling; Lillian Roth Brand BA ’18, MBA ’20, director with NP Strategy, the strategic communications subsidiary of Maynard Nexsen; Bry Rivera Burrows BA ’17, MBA ’19, AI partner at IBM; Piper Reyanne Daniels BS ’19, MBA ’20, senior systems engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics; Dr. Andrew Ross D’Entremont BA ’19, MA ’19, MS ’20, PhD ’24, associate lawyer at Jones Day; Michael Dunn BS ’17, transportation safety engineer for VHB; Capt. Sean McSpirit BS ’19, congressional fellow for the U.S. Marine Corps; Caitlyn McTier BA ’21, marketing manager and brand strategist at William Morris Endeavor; Dr. William Miller BS ’19, second-year emergency medicine resident physician at the University of Alabama at Birmingham; Dr. Allyson Pitzel BS ’17, MA ’18, PhD ’23, research assistant professor at The University of Alabama; Claire Stebbins BA ’19, cofounder and director of Reading Allies; Bethany Triplett BA ’16, owner and operator of The Shirt Shop in Tuscaloosa; Capt. Samuel Tucker, DVM BA ’17, BS ’17, veterinarian in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps; Amanda White BS ’18, senior technical project manager in cybersecurity at Walmart; Meagan C. Wilson BS ’21, MS ’21, senior coordinator of partnership marketing at NASCAR.
