Greater Cincinnati Chapter

About

Alumni, parents, students and fans:  I send you greetings from Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky!

We are CrimsonAti, the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association.  We are CrimsonAti Proud!  Our members come from all over the Cincinnati area.  We are employed in health care, insurance, manufacturing, real estate, business, education, social services, industry, and many other facets of work.  Many of our members are parents of current UA students.  We like to stay in touch with our UA students and we get actively involved in various community service projects.  Our first endowed scholarship is now funded and we will offer annual scholarships to prospective UA students.  See “How to Apply” below.

Join us for our GameDay watch parties at the March First Brewing Co., 7885 E. Kemper Road, Cincinnati.  This is a new watch party location for CrimsonAti and we look forward to hosting some exciting events there.  Visitors on campus can get a taste of Cincinnati’s finest Skyline chili at our GameDay tailgating tent on the Quad.

If you use social media, you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and we have a YouTube channel.

What does it mean to be ‘CrimsonAti Proud’?  It means we strive to be the very best.  Our students excel both academically and athletically.  Our parents are proud.  Our alumni are working hard to make Greater Cincinnati a great place to live and work.  Our ‘Roll Tide’ philosophy gives our community a winning attitude.

We are CrimsonAti Proud, Roll Tide!

Adopt a Freshman

Let’s face it, Tuscaloosa is a long drive from Greater Cincinnati.  It’s not easy for a freshman to be so far away from home.  That’s why we have established Adopt a Freshman.  New students can be ‘adopted’ by an upperclassman from Greater Cincinnati.  After sharing contact information, our mentors help new students get acclimated to campus life.  They assist with carpooling and travel issues between Cincinnati and Tuscaloosa.  They can provide tips on where to shop, eat, tailgate, and will help guide new students to organizations and services on campus related to their needs and major.

These are our six mentors who have volunteered to adopt freshmen this coming academic year.

Young Alumni Coordinator – Logan O’Neil

Logan M. O’Neil,is originally from Upstate NY – Albany/Adirondacks. The University of Alabama attracted Logan due to its beautiful campus, athletic atmosphere (inclusive of having a NCAA D1 Women’s Rowing Team), and Honors College programs. Logan was a Presidential Scholar recipient as well as a 4-year scholarship athlete and 2-year Captain on the Alabama Women’s Rowing Team. In the Honors College, Logan was a University Fellow, Student Director of Outdoor Action, and completed the International Honors Program. Majoring in Mathematics-Statistics and minoring in both Chinese and Civic Engagement & Leadership, Logan earned and completed an internship at Nike at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon as a Nike North America Digital Retail Brand intern in Summer 2014. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude in May 2015, Logan worked for one year as a Strategic Operations Assistant for Alabama Athletics Marketing, Promotions, & Trademark Licensing Department. In Fall 2016 Logan began her MBA while also serving as an Alabama A-Club Executive Committee Member and the Graduate Assistant for the Alabama Women’s Rowing Team – coordinating travel and logistics for a team and staff of 50-80 people. Following her first year in graduate school, Logan was one of two UA students selected as the inaugural interns for an internship with Dai-Ichi Life in Tokyo, Japan, that she completed in July 2017. In May 2018, having earned a 4.0 GPA, Logan graduated with her Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics. In June she moved to downtown Cincinnati to begin working for 84.51° as a Customer Strategy & Activation Consultant. Having the opportunity to work for 84.51° – a subsidiary of Kroger, was what attracted Logan to move to Cincinnati as she enjoys the retail industry and her role would allow her to both make data-driven decisions and utilize her creativity to produce actionable insights and recommendations to make customer’s lives easier. As the Young Alumni Coordinator for CrimsonAti she is excited to grow young alumni engagement with CrimsonAti through coordinating events and activities catered to young alumni interests and living locations in Greater Cincinnati, Dayton and northern Kentucky. Logan is looking forward to getting to know the young alumni in the area and keeping our connections to The University Alabama alive and well through happy hours, watch parties, trips, and other exciting activities!
