Alumni Scholarship Program and Application Process
The Alumni Scholarship Program was initiated in 1967 by the Alumni Council. The program is currently designed to reward high school seniors and transfer students for their academic and leadership achievements, to recognize current full-time undergraduate students for academic excellence; and to attract children and grandchildren of active UA graduates to the Capstone.
The admission and scholarship application process is a consolidated, centralized, electronic procedure used campus-wide by all departments including the Alumni Scholarship Program. The scholarship application process for each category of student is explained below.
The fall semester of a student’s senior year in high school is crucial. December 15 is the priority date for high school seniors to submit both the UA Application for Admission at apply.ua.eduand the UA Application for Scholarships via the myBama.ua.edu portal in order to receive consideration for scholarship review campus-wide.
In order for transfer students to receive scholarship consideration campus-wide, the priority date to submit both the UA Application for Admission found at apply.ua.edu and the UA Application for Scholarships via the myBama.ua.edu portal is March 1.
The priority date for current full-time undergraduate students to submit the UA Scholarship Application for Continuing Full-time Undergraduate Students is March 1. The campus-wide scholarship application is available on-line at myBama.ua.edu.
