Greetings and Roll Tide! Welcome to the online home of the Tide in Tucson Chapter of The University of Alabama Alumni Association in Southern Arizona. This chapter is dedicated to all BAMA alumni, family, fans and friends residing in or visiting Tucson and the Southern Arizona area. We welcome your participation in our events including game watch parties during football and basketball season and occasional special events. We also encourage your active support of the University of Alabama, the Alumni Association and student scholarships.

Scholarship and Recruitment:
A key objective of our chapter is to provide scholarships to deserving students from Southern Arizona entering the University of Alabama in their freshman year and to assist in the recruitment of Southern Arizona high school students who are considering The University of Alabama for their college education. We are only able to achieve our mission through the continuous support of our chapter members, the local alumni and friends of The University of Alabama.
In October 2021, the Tide in Tucson established the Tide in Tucson Endowed Scholarship. Through the generosity of the BAMA family in Southern Arizona and annual matching from the University of Alabama National Alumni Association the fund exceeded the endowment goal of $25,000 in 2023 and currently stands at $45,853 as of June 30, 2025 The generosity of our BAMA family has enabled Tide in Tucson to award a total of $3,000 in scholarships to two outstanding students from Salpointe and Sabino High Schools entering the University of Alabama in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
