About
I would like to welcome any and all University of Alabama Alumni, friends and fans to join our local UA Alumni Chapter. We like to get together several times a year to cheer on the Tide in various sports, travel and tailgate together on the Quad at home football games and encourage area students to consider attending the University with the help of local scholarships.
We welcome all alums, fans and friends to join our chapter! The cost is $25.00/single and $40.00/couple. The dues collected helps to defray the cost of meetings, pay for postage, and add to our endowed scholarship. Membership
If you are a friend, fan, or alumnus of the University of Alabama, please join us. Graduating from The University of Alabama is not a requirement for membership.
The annual membership fee is $25 for an individual or $40 for a family. Download the Membership Form and mail it with your check. Your membership fee helps support ETUA’s mission of sending students from this area to the University of Alabama as well as chapter activities. As a member, you can play an active role in the chapter, attend events, and have opportunities for game tickets and other benefits.
Scholarship Information
The local Meridian, MS Endowed Scholarship has been endowed since 1991. Congraulations to all recipients and thank you to all those that contribute to this endowment!
General Scholarship Application Information:
Entering freshmen
The fall semester of a student’s senior year in high school is crucial. December 1 is the priority date for high school seniors to submit both the UA Application for Admission at apply.ua.eduand the UA Application for Scholarships via the myBama.ua.edu portal in order to receive consideration for scholarship review campus-wide.
Transfer Students
In order for transfer students to receive scholarship consideration campus-wide, the priority date to submit both the UA Application for Admission found at apply.ua.eduand the UA Application for Scholarships via the myBama.ua.edu portal is March 1.
