Welcome to the online home of the Tuscaloosa County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association. Membership is open to all alumni, friends, and fans living in Tuscaloosa County and surrounding counties that do not have a local chapter.
Our Executive Committee works diligently throughout the year to plan and present many opportunities for Chapter members to interact and celebrate our university. These include the annual Crimson and White Party at Spirits Wine Cellar in June, UA Cheerleader Banquet, Annual Kickoff Party in The Zone at Bryant-Denny Stadium in August, Scholarship Awards event, Bryant Awards presentation, tailgate parties before UA baseball and softball games, and other events throughout the year.
In May 2017 the Tuscaloosa County Chapter awarded over $125,000 in scholarships to local students who will be entering the University. All membership fees go toward the support of the 58 scholarships that are currently listed on the Tuscaloosa Chapter membership form. We hope that you will join our Chapter and will encourage your friends, family, and co-workers to also become a part of this dynamic group that enjoys celebrating UA’s rich tradition of excellence in all that we do.
Your membership matters!

Scholarship assistance to local students remains the foundation of the Tuscaloosa County Chapter’s commitment of service to The University of Alabama. Beginning with a single endowed scholarship in the year 2000, an aggressive and focused approach to scholarship development has resulted in numerous fully endowed scholarships with new ones being created to one day offer scholarship assistance to deserving students from every public and private high school in the Tuscaloosa area.
In addition, another main objective is to assist in the recruitment of future students who are Bama bound. We are only able to reach these goals through the continuous support of our chapter members, the local alumni and friends of The University of Alabama. We are striving to reach our goal of $2,000,000 in our corpus funding for area scholarships. We need your help to reach that goal and give outstanding Tuscaloosa County high school students the opportunity to pursue the incredible educational and life experiences available at the Capstone.
If you would like to create a UA scholarship through the Tuscaloosa County Chapter, please contact Deborah Parr or 205-348-7398.
Thanks to YOU, our chapter has again set a record for scholarship assistance for the 2018-2019 UA school year. Thirty outstanding students from area high schools will receive scholarships of over $110,000.00 from our chapter endowments to assist them in their new beginnings at the Capstone.
New online giving opportunity!
Now it’s easier than even to become a member and contribute to Tuscaloosa County Chapter scholarships!
A new secured, on-line giving site has been created to give everyone the opportunity to make a tax deductible contribution.
By going to http://alumni.ua.edu/scholarships, you will find the link to “Contribute to an Alumni Chapter Scholarship.” The scholarships are listed in order by state and chapter. Simply find your chapter, click on the scholarship to which you would like to contribute, then complete and submit the giving information.
The donor will receive a receipt that can be used for tax purposes and you will be informed of membership events for the Chapter.
Thank you for supporting the Alabama Tuscaloosa County Chapter, which helps students realize their dreams of attending our great University!
