Welcome to the online home of the South Talladega County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association. Membership is open to all alumni, friends, and fans living in Talladega County and surrounding counties that do not have a local chapter.
Our Executive Committee works diligently throughout the year to plan and present many opportunities for Chapter members to interact and enjoy events such as the annual Spring Scholarship Banquet, Send-Off Party for our newest Alabama freshmen from our area, football game-watching party, Alumni Scholarship Assistance Program (A$AP) event for high school students and parents interested in our great university, campus visits for gymnastics meets, basketball games, baseball games, etc.
In May 2019 the South Talladega County Chapter awarded $57,430 in scholarships to local students who will be entering the University. We encourage all to join the National Alumni Association as a Single Donor for $40 or a Joint Donor for $65 (http://alumni.ua.edu/membership/). Your national dues help support our local chapter (we do not have chapter dues). Also, we encourage you to “Ride with the Tide” by purchasing your UA collegiate license tag and give deserving young people the opportunity to realize the dream of higher education (http://alumni.ua.edu/ride-with-the-tide/). Proceeds from the sale of University of Alabama license tags fund scholarship programs at UA. We hope that you will join our Chapter and will encourage your friends, family, and co-workers to also become a part of this dynamic group that enjoys celebrating UA’s rich tradition of excellence in all that we do. Your involvement matters!

Scholarship assistance to local students remains the foundation of the South Talladega County Chapter’s commitment of service to The University of Alabama.
The Harry I. Brown, Sr. and Margaret W. Brown Endowed Scholarship has provided over $407,000 worth of scholarships to 181 students over the past 20 years.
The Leonard Lee and Rebecca Erline Black Evans Endowed scholarship provided $3,800 for the three years since it reached endowed status.
Another main objective is to assist in the recruitment of future students who are Bama bound. We are only able to reach these goals through the continuous support of our chapter members, the local alumni, and friends of The University of Alabama. If you would like to create a UA scholarship through the South Talladega County Chapter, please contact Henry Nunnelley at email@example.com.
