CPT Elijah G. Teixeira

Captain Elijah G. Teixeira is a U.S. Army officer, BRIDGE mentor and community leader committed to service and impact. A 2020 graduate of The University of Alabama, he has deployed to Syria and Iraq and currently serves as the commander of a light infantry unit supporting multinational operations in Egypt.

While at UA, Teixeira helped establish the BRIDGE program by securing initial funding and mentoring first year students. That experience sparked a lasting commitment to leadership development, equity and empowerment, a commitment he continues through his involvement with the National Alumni Association and community programming with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Beyond the military, Teixeira has raised funds for cancer research, mentored minority youth in STEM fields and supported educational access initiatives. He is working to launch a scholarship endowment with The University of Alabama’s First Year Experience office and is the founder of Tex Uplift Group, a leadership platform for young men. Whether leading troops abroad or serving at home, Teixeira exemplifies the values of the Capstone Creed.
