The 18 Under 31 Young Alumni Awards honor The University of Alabama’s legendary young alumni who have made a vital impact on their industry, field or community.
The National Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the 18 Under 31 class of 2024. Exceptional young alumni may be nominated through September 1, 2023.
Self-nominations are welcome.
Nominees must submit applications and all supporting materials by September 8, 2023.
18 Under 31 Criteria and Eligibility
18 Under 31 Awards recipients have made a vital impact on industry, field, or community. Recipients are also required to:
- Be a member of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association. All eligible nominees will receive a special discount link to join or renew for $18.31.
- Hold an undergraduate or graduate degree from The University of Alabama
- Be 30 years of age or younger by Jan. 19, 2024
- Submit at least one letter of recommendation
- Provide a headshot (if selected as a recipient) that will be used for Association and University marketing
- Be present to receive award at time of recognition in Tuscaloosa on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024
Prior 18 Under Awards recipients and the following members are NOT eligible for the 18 Under 31 Awards:
- The University of Alabama Executive Committee members
- The University of Alabama National Alumni Association staff members
- The University of Alabama Advancement staff members
